Patient Democracy

Post-doc project in collaboration with the research unite at Vejle Hospital, investigating the term Patient Democracy and Shared decision-Making in relation to cancer treatment. Here design methods (design activism and participatory design) is used to disrupt the power relation between staff and patient and to point towards a more democratic treatment that could empower the patient.
From the perspective of design research one of the theoretical aims has been to restore participation as a form of activity that make undemocratic forces and structures visible.
