From Tangible Extractivism to Associative Architectures: New Nature-Sensible Measures for Contemporary Architecture in Denmark

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

This project seeks to understand and expand the relationship between contemporary Danish architecture and the notions of nature it embodies. Technical methods, such as LCA, can provide quantifiable notions of environmental impacts within predefined categories, but by using the sensible and narrational power of architecture we might explore critical material extractions that are unaccounted for, broaden our impact assessments, and decrease the distance between building and externality tangibly. The research hereby seeks to combine knowledge and methods from different professions to reanimate Danish architecture in nature-sensible ways, referred to as associative architecture.
