Climate Drawing, Drawing Climate

Projektdetaljer

Beskrivelse

architecture can play a role in mitigating and adapting to these changes. However, the relationship between climate and architecture is often invisible or overlooked. Thus, this project and dissemination seeks to address this gap in the profession through a creative and artistic approach. Attempting to document the fleeting moments in space driven by the (changing) climate both in the immediate seasonal changes as well as the larger global challenge. As Marx wrote “all that is solid melts into air” - highlighting that the processes of the planetary systems are ever-changing. Yet we often draw architecture as objects frozen in time. Neglecting the diverse changes which imbues the atmospheric conditions which we value as society. Therefore, this project seeks funding to support the creation of an exhibition and publication of drawing experiments of the invisible aspects between climate and architecture. Opening up the discourse of sustainable architecture to the wider public and profession - questioning the often techno-focused status quo.
