Profile – Aurélie Mossé is a textile designer and researcher working with responsive materials. She is currently about to complete a practice-based and design-led PhD  entitled ‘Domestic  Timescapes: Designing Self-Actuated Textiles for the Home’. Sitting at the intersection of textile design, architecture and smart technologies, this research has led to the conceptualisation and materialisation of three-dimensional dynamic textiles based on electro-active and light-responsive polymers underpinned with ecological values. This interdisciplinary investigation undertaken in the double context of CITA, Centre for IT & Architecture, Copenhagen and TFRC, Textile Futures Resesarch Centre, London, has resulted in various collaborations with architects and material scientists (Technical Universites of Eindhoven, Denmark) as well as with the Philip Design Probes team, Eindhoven Netherlands. Aurélie graduated from Central Saint Martins with a MA in Design for Textiles Future. She is also a founding member of the London-based textile design lab Puff & Flock. Her design and research have been published and exhibited internationally in conferences such as Ambience 11, Ecobuild,  Future Textiles as well as venues such as the Geffrye Museum (London) or  Zanotta Shop (Milan).
