Aktivitet: Deltagelse i eller arrangement af en begivenhed Deltagelse i workshop, seminar og kursus

The course focuses on the main characteristics, potentials and issues of water-based cleaning methods applied to painted surfaces. Starting from simple concepts like pH and pka parameters, the participants will learn how to produce buffer solutions and understand their action: from surface cleaning to the removal of film forming materials. Gelling materials will be introduced, analyzing their properties and applications: Cellulose Ethers, Xanthan gum, Polyacrylic Acid derivatives and Agar (rigid gels) will be presented. Afterward, we will theoretically analyze products, such as chelators (Kf and affinity for different cations will be explained) and Surfactants (CMC and HLB parameters).
