The sustainability challenges addressed by the SDGs are global and requires knowledge sharing across borders. Action, however, must be locally anchored and specific to local culture, climate, materials, and needs. Architecture and the built environment can contribute significantly to reaching the Goals, and every actor in the value chain of construction has a role to play in leading sustainable change in the built environment. The presentation will share principles and strategies to enable this, illustrated by examples of local action.
