This lecture highlights why service design is not only important for an organization's external relations but presents a continuous challenge and opportunity to inquire into the way an organization goes about doing business. Because services are embedded in the organizational system and touch on all aspects of managing, changing, organizing and designing, the design of services can become a vehicle to integrate the organization and re-orient it around people.
