Beskrivelse

Collaborative design workshop with Aarhus School of Engineering.

This workshop is in collaboration between students/teachers of AAA with students/ teachers of Aarhus School of Engineering.
Based on their semester projects, students of AAA together with students of structural and students of energy engineering develop and refine a key detail of their
project which has structural and thermal relevance. By doing so, students of both schools learn to know their specific professional language and working methods and
they get an understanding in the importance of integrated design teams and processes.
The outcomes are details of high aesthetic qualities, which respond to the architectural projects in terms of appropriateness, function and safety, clarity, structure, thermal and physical properties, light, acoustics, resource optimization, building process and maintenance, aging, economics etc.
responsible and workshop leader for AAA: Prof. Walter Unterrainer
responsible and workshop leader for ENG : Prof Poul-Henning Kirkegaard (structure)
Ass. Prof. Steffen Petersen (energy)
There is an introduction lecture to different aspects of detailing every morning before the studio work.
